I've been building software for years — real-time systems at work, side products at night — and most of what I think while doing it never goes anywhere. It dies in group chats, half-finished notes, or threads that disappear after 48 hours.

That stops here. xx.lanka is where my opinions get to live.

What to expect#

Three things, consistently:

• AI — not hype takes, but what actually works when you ship it: agents in production, model limits, where the money is (and isn't).
• Software engineering — architecture decisions, scaling stories, things I got wrong, tooling opinions strong enough to be wrong about.
• My products — build logs, launches, and honest post-mortems of the things I make under the xx.lanka name.

The short version of who I am#

I'm Pasindu Lanka, a software engineer working on real-time and distributed systems. Online I go by xx.lanka on Instagram and TikTok, and @xx_lanka on X. My professional home is pasindulanka.me.
